Julie Ayling is a Research Fellow in the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence in Policing and Security, based in the Regulatory Institutions Network (RegNet) at the Australian National University in Canberra. She is also a founding member of RegNet’s Climate and Environmental Governance Network (CEGNet). Her current research focuses on illicit organisations and networks, particularly organised crime, and the state’s responses to them. She is co-investigator on the ANU’s Transnational Environmental Crime project which is examining emerging trends in TEC and conditions for successful regulatory and enforcement responses.
