Rob White is Professor of Criminology in the School of Social Sciences at the University of Tasmania, Australia. He has written extensively in the areas of youth studies, social policy and criminology. Recent authored and edited books in the area of green criminology have included Crimes Against Nature (2008); Environmental Crime: A Reader (2009), Global Environmental Harm: Criminological Perspectives (2010), Transnational Environmental Crime: Toward an eco-global criminology (2011), Climate Change from a Criminological Perspective (2012) and the forthcoming Environmental Harm: An eco-justice perspective (2013). He is presently undertaking work that explores the application of social science methodologies in environmental forensic studies, particularly in regards to issues pertaining to toxic towns and contaminated communities.
